Last week a submersible pump failed at a local building. Cox Industrial Services was called out on an emergency basis because the sump was near overflowing and causing damage to the building. The crew arrived within a few hours and removed the pump. Since it was a duplex system, the second pump was set up to work on its own for the short term. We brought the pump back to the shop for inspection and found water in the oil due to a bad seal. The pump was beyond economical repair so we recommended replacing the pump. The new pump was adapted for the rail system and installed the next day. The sump system is operating on automatic.
