If your pump shaft is beyond economical repair, we can manufacture a new shaft. Recently we had to reverse engineer a broken shaft by taking the dimensions from the old shaft. Making sure all areas were to factory tolerance, which required knowing which bearing and seals we needed for assembly. We then created a blueprint for the new shaft. We ordered 4140 steel shafting material for this application. We set up the shaft material in our lathe to machine it to the proper dimensions and then milled the key ways. Then the shaft was ready to be installed into the rotor.
